Jewelry Care Guide
💎 JEWELRY CARE & PRESERVATION
Caring for your Timeless Adorns piece is simple. A few mindful habits are all it takes to keep it looking as beautiful as the day it arrived.
PRESERVING THE BRILLIANCE
You have chosen a piece designed to stand the test of time. Our jewelry is crafted from premium stainless steel with a 14k/18k gold finish — a combination that is naturally hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive skin, and built for everyday wear. With just a little care, your keepsake will retain its original luster and shine for years to come.
The single most effective habit: last on, first off. Put your jewelry on after you have finished your skincare, perfume, and hair routine — and remove it before washing up, exercising, or going to bed. This one simple step extends the life of your piece more than anything else.
1. WATER & SWEAT
Your piece is crafted for daily wear and is water-resistant. It is safe to wear while washing your hands or in light rain. However, to protect the gold finish over the long term we recommend:
- After water exposure: Gently pat dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and mineral buildup.
- Swimming: Remove your jewelry before swimming in chlorinated pools or saltwater. Both chlorine and salt can gradually wear down the gold finish over time.
- Exercise: Remove your jewelry before workouts. Prolonged exposure to sweat can accelerate wear on the gold plating. Give your piece a gentle wipe with a soft cloth after any physical activity before storing it.
2. PROTECTION FROM CHEMICALS
To preserve the gold finish, avoid direct contact with:
- Perfumes, colognes, hairsprays, and lotions — apply these first and allow them to dry fully before putting on your jewelry.
- Household cleaning products, bleach, ammonia, or any harsh chemicals.
- Hand sanitizer — the high alcohol content can dull the finish over time.
3. DAILY MAINTENANCE
For everyday upkeep, a quick, gentle buff with a dry microfiber cloth or soft jewelry polishing cloth after wearing will remove natural oils and keep your piece looking its best between deeper cleans.
4. CLEANING YOUR PIECE
When your jewelry needs a more thorough refresh:
- Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with lukewarm water.
- Gently clean with a soft cloth or soft-bristle brush, taking care around any engraving or detail work.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Pat dry immediately with a soft cloth, then allow the piece to air dry completely before storing or wearing again.
Do not use jewelry cleaners, polishing compounds, or cloths containing harsh chemicals — these can strip the gold finish. Avoid abrasive materials such as paper towels, which can scratch the surface.
5. PROPER STORAGE
When not being worn, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid storing jewelry in bathrooms, where daily moisture and temperature changes can affect the finish over time.
- Store pieces individually in the provided gift box or a soft pouch to prevent scratching and tangling.
- Keep pieces away from other metals that may scratch the surface.
- For long-term storage, place a small anti-tarnish strip inside the box — these are inexpensive and available at most jewelry or craft stores.
A NOTE ON GOLD PLATING
All plated jewelry will show gradual wear over time with regular use — this is natural and expected, not a defect. The better you care for your piece, the longer its brilliance will last.
